Antenatal Education

As a fully qualified antenatal teacher I can offer private antenatal classes to suit your needs. I have lots of experience and taught for the National Childbirth Trust before setting up on my own to offer a more personal service.

Perhaps you've got lots of questions? A one-to-one might suit you. I can come to your home or you can come to mine. Or maybe you have some friends who are expecting a baby and would like to have classes together? That's fine with me. I prefer to teach both mum(s) and birth partners together but am flexible.

The beauty of having me all to yourselves is that we can cover EXACTLY what you want to know. ..........

Fee: £65 per two hour session.
This includes:
* Comprehensive information pack
* Mileage within 10 miles of Leighton
Buzzard (charged at 40ppm thereafter).

I recommend a minimum of 4 hours per couple but this can be spread over two visits if required.

Preparing for a home birth
Hormones and their role
Knowing labour has started
The stages of labour
Breathing and massage
Positions for labour and birth
Role of the birthpartner
Pain Relief
Caesarean section
Breastfeeding
Formula Feeding
Coping with a crying baby
Changing nappies and bathing

It is helpful it you can make a note of what you want to cover before I come!
