Course Outline What's included Fathers Mothers

Fathers

For expectant fathers, the journey to parenthood often passes with little attention or preparation as all the changes are occurring to their partner. Expectant mothers cannot hide the fact that they are pregnant and their ever increasing bump draws attention from people they meet, wherever they go, but for the expectant father there are no physical changes, and the emotional changes that are occurring can go un-addressed..

"Feel empowered now - knowledge is the key and at least I have some now that makes sense" F Smith

Attending an antenatal course is a time when men can focus on their new baby, prepare for what’s ahead, and meet up with other men who are about to become fathers themselves. It can be very reassuring to know that you aren't the only one with worries or concerns about the impending birth and fatherhood! On a BirthVenture weekend, no question is taboo - you can ask anything (to do with birth and parenting!) and answers will be given in a non-opinionated or judgmental way.

"Very thorough - no opinions or preaching just facts"

On a BirthVenture weekend, you can also enjoy time with your partner, away from the pressures of life in wonderfully peaceful surroundings. The courses are relaxed and informal, and you won't be made to do anything you feel uncomfortable with!

BirthVenture weekends are the perfect way to combine preparing for birth and parenthood, with investment in your relationship with one another, before you become a family.

And while you're there, why not treat yourself to an Indian Head Massage or a Full Body Stress Buster Massage*. The venue also boasts an excellent golf course. Book an extra day and finish your long weekend with a round of golf.

*contact Whittlebury Hall directly to make bookings (bear in mind that the course finishes at 4:30 each day when making bookings) The spa is very popular at weekends so we suggest you book early.
